this is perfect! i have been percolating over this one for a while. i think we need a BRAND hack for baltimore. this city is in dire need of some concerted buzz. there seems to be a sense that small pockets of magnificence are popping up but we need a bigger bang to infiltrate traditional business leaders + everyone else that is out of the loop (and out of market). not to mention there is an extremely talented and creative community here that could blow this up.
can we find out what everyone is doing, see if there are opportunities for better collaboration, identify where are missing the mark & how to generally turn up the volume?
not exactly your traditional "data" hack...but i still think a viable one. maybe?

@tgosson - Right on. Agreed. And I think as somebody else mentioned in another thread, it's hard to organize a good discussion about stuff like this on the Facebook group (just the way it's organized). So hopefully we can build up a critical mass of conversation here to drive things forward. Might be good to think about how to organize this forum for best affect. Any thoughts on that?

hmm..you are already going deeper than i have thought so far i might think is there a way we could get everyone to load online a brief written summary of what they are trying to accomplish + how they have gone about it + then a place to upload visuals (ie: screenshots, clippings...). i am sure there are others more well versed in the best vehicles but something along the lines of pinterest boards for efforts? its gotta be visual + easy to access. and from there i think i needs to be those interested meeting in person with definitive outcomes. all of this coming from someone that has never attended a hackathon, so please feel free to school me!
